Review: Nuxe Rêve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream

A good hand cream is a must. My hands don’t look incredibly dry, but they seem to absorb hand cream like nothing else. It’s really difficult to find a hand cream that sinks in well without leaving behind a sticky residue but which feels like it has actually moisturised your hands well for more than just a minute. I recently tried the Nuxe honey hand cream and I’m really impressed!

The texture of this hand cream is very light yet it moisturisers just as well as L’Occitane’s Shea Butter hand cream. It’s not a hand salve by any means (a very thick, waxy, emollient cream used on extremely dry cracked skin – very heavy duty!) but it does actually impart moisture into your hands without leaving a sticky residue. The cream does leave behind a very thin veil of moisture on your skin, which I think is nice as it acts as a protective barrier on your skin without making your hands feel ‘heavy’.  Even though this hand cream is marketed as containing Acacia honey (one of the sweetest honeys in the world!) it has a sweet floral scent rather than a classic honey fragrance. It also contains sunflower oil, rose muscat, sweet almond oil, barley extract and argan oil. Nuxe is very well known for using plant extracts so it’s nice that 89% of this hand cream ingredients come from plant extracts.

I’m really impressed by this hand cream and for everyday use I think it’s the perfect blend of moisture and lightness (texture wise – so you don’t have to worry about leaving a greasy residue on objects and paper etc. if you are working for example). Nuxe also does a honey foot cream in this range of body products, so I think I will be trying that next! I might also give the Kiehl’s Hand Salve a go for really intensive moisturisation for the dark and cold winter months ahead lol

You can find Nuxe’s Rêve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream at Priceline for $20, however it’s now on sale for $16.00 if you’re interested 🙂 I usually buy my goodies online from Europe, so it just depends on how quickly you want to get your paws on the product!

I’m  little sad this weekend is coming to a close but maybe not as much as this puppy…
