Review: Butter London Handbag Holiday Cuticle Oil & Mason & Soy Candles

Happy Boxing Day beauty bees! I’m not sure what that means, but I hope you are having a lovely holiday break! I wanted to come online and say hi and leave you with a short but sweet review 🙂

I don’t have very dry cuticles, or cuticles that have many problems, but I want to keep my nails healthy and strong. This cuticle oil does exactly that! I’m convinced that this cuticle oil along with Revitanail has stopped my nails from splitting and peeling. My nails used to split and peel quite a bit, but now that problem has reduced by like 95% (as according to Malinka, my research assistant Beagle – however that statistic may not be 100% accurate as she’s always sleeping on the job!). I never have that problem of going out, my nail polish chipping along with my nails peeling and chipping all over the place like they used to.

This is the first cuticle oil I’ve used and while I don’t use it every time I paint my nails or take nail polish off, even using it sparingly makes my nails feel smooth, hydrated and leaves them looking so much healthier. You receive 17.5 ml in the bottle, which is A LOT – I’ve had mine for a few months now and the bottle still looks full! I’ve made a pact to use it more regularly,so hopefully it becomes a habit (we can hope right?).

It smells like coconut and pineapple – even my boyfriend likes it! It reminds me of tropical cocktails mmmm… It’s mineral oil free and free from other nasties. There’s a handy brush just like with any nail polish and you drop a blob of oil onto your nail and then massage it into your nail and cuticle. There is a little bit of an oily residue but it sinks in after a few minutes. I highly recommend this cuticle oil if you’re in the market for a new one. If you live in Aus, I wanted to share with you a candle that I bought online on Etsy which I LOVE and can’t stop raving about like a crazy cat lady (they don’t offer world wide shipping just yet 🙁 ). It’s from Mason & Soy, a little company from the South Coast of NSW. I bought the scent Very Vanilla as I thought it was a safe first choice since I can’t smell the scents before buying them online and I like that uncomplicated true vanilla scent (like what you get from a vanilla bean – not that hideous artificial vanilla). When it arrived in it’s gorgeous blue toned Ball Jar, I couldn’t believe how delicious the scent was. It smells like true vanilla plus condensed milk – or really really creamy vanilla ice-cream! I just want to grab a spoon and take a bite! The candle sells for $38 gold coins.

Now excuse me, while I go sniff my nails and candle like a creepy person LOL
