October’s Bellabox Review

So my October Bellabox finally rolled in, so I wanted to share with you what was inside!

I was expecting a bit more from this months box because its Bellabox’s 2nd birthday. Maybe we got a little to spoilt with last months box? It’s strange that this months box isn’t the ‘big’ one, but I guess the other one had sponsorship from Cleo. Let’s go through the products/samples!

Lonvitalite 24K Active Gold Yulan Oil Face Mask – Box of 5 retails for $29.00 – received one sheet mask. I love all kinds of masks, so I’m happy to try this one out! The ingredient list is quite short but seems really decent, containing glycerine, amino acids, niacinamide and yes gold! Will it transform my skin? lol I’m not sure, but I’m willing to give it a go!

Sinful Colors Nail Enamel in the colour 951 Why Not – retails for $4.95. Full sized product included in this months Bellabox. I think that if you received a decent colour of polish, it might be ok, but I really don’t like this colour. I actually want a ‘jean blue’ nail varnish, but this one just looks like one of those cheap brights that’s almost a neon. The fact that it’s also so cheap makes me unsure if I want to bother trying it out. If it were to go all streaky then taking it off would be so annoying (I admit I’m lazy most of the time lol). Like I said, if you got a decent colour that you like, you might be in luck! I’ll probably give this to someone who likes the colour.

Beyonce Heat EDT – retails for $39.00 100ml – received a 2.0ml sample. This was cute, because the sample perfume was in a lolly like wrapper lol I like mini perfumes/samples as you can carry them around with you so easily and ‘freshen’ up your scent throughout the day. This one is surprisingly nice even though its not a perfume I would naturally gravitate towards. I do love Beyonce though lol I wouldn’t buy it for that reason alone though…

Nivea Visage Light Moisturising Day Cream SPF 15 – retails for $12.99 for 50ml. Received a 7ml sample. I receive a lot of nivea samples in some of my Polish magazines, so I’m really meh about this. At least its a cream that should work for an array of skin types and I can take it with me when travelling somewhere.

Alfaparf Semi Di Lino Diamond Shampoo & Diamond Mask – retails for $25 (shampoo 250ml) & $29 (mask 200ml). Received the shampoo in a 60ml size and the mask in 50ml size tube. I’ve never heard of this brand before, but according to the packaging it is Italian. I like these bigger sample sizes of shampoo and hair care, as you can really try out the product a few times and see if it works for you and they are also GREAT for travelling as they should last you a week or two. I’ll happily give these a go and see what I think.

La Roche-Posay’s Uvidea XL BB Melt-In Cream – retails for $28.95 for 30ml. Received a 3ml sample. Talk about a tiny sample! The colour seems ok this time round (unlike the last BB cream Bellabox sent) but the size is a bit disappointing 🙁 The BB cream contains an spf of 50 which is great!

Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Nuit (night cream) & Creme Prodigieuse Enriched Creme (day cream) – retail for $49.95 (50ml night cream) & $44.95 (40g day cream). Received 2ml samples of each. I’m happy about the inclusion of these samples, as Nuxe isn’t a brand we get to try often (well I don’t!). The night cream is for all skin types and the day cream is a anti-fatigue moisturiser for dry skin types.

I don’t really like that 4 of the product samples are products I could purchase from Priceline. Not because I have anything against Priceline itself, it’s just that if I was interested in a product from there, I could easily go into the store myself and test it out. So I was hoping they would be products that you wouldn’t get to do that with usually (or at least bigger samples in order to really test out the product well). Overall, this months box is okay, a few hit and misses but I guess that’s like most months! Oh and no box this month 🙁 the products just came in a bubble wrapped sleeve. I love those boxes as they are so handy for storage! Hopefully they are back next month.
