New Year New Goodies!
Everyone loves new goodies right 🙂 I decided to stock up on some skin care products (some new, some replacements of old goodies) right before the new year and most of these products arrived not so long ago. I’m pretty loyal to particular skin care brands – mostly because once I find that something works, I stick with it! It’s all about consistency you see! I also seem to stick to cosmoceutical brands – no faffing around here! 😛 So what did I buy? Let’s check it out!
First up we have Futurederm 7 Wonders Antioxidant Rich Toner – oooooooooo I hear you say 😛
This toner is to replace my luxe sample of SK-II Facial Treatment Essence. It costs $29 gold American coins. It’s a new product for me and it should be lovely to try and use – it actually smells really good – subtle but sooo good.
Product number two is the Futurederm CE Caffeic 16+2 Silk Serum.
I have used this vitamin C and E serum before and it’s great! I use it in the mornings and it makes makeup application easier and more long lasting. Plus, it has all the antioxidants you need to protect your skin during the day! If your not sure when to use your serums and creams (so that they are the most effective that they can be) check out this skincare 101 post here. It costs $89 gold American coins 🙂
The third skin care product is the Ultraceuticals Ultra Brightening Serum.
Now this is one heavy duty product! I haven’t used this before – I was using the Ultraceuticals Even Skin Tone Serum to exfoliate my skin (keep breakouts at bay) and keep the texture of skin smooth and bump free. Now that I have the breakouts and texture issues under control, I’ve moved up to this serum to help brighten up my skin tone and lighten old acne marks. Because it is heavy duty as I mentioned (with all the sciency stuff behind it!) is a little more exxy than their other serums. It comes in at $135 Aus monies.
The other couple of goodies which I recently bought are down below. These are a little more ‘fun’ colour products I suppose 🙂
We have an OPI nail polish in Dulce De Leche (a dirty rose – mid toned pink) and Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in PK 365, also a mid-toned rose shade which is still quite bright. It feels super creamy so I can’t wait until I get to wear it for the first time! Swatch down below 🙂 Oh, I also bought it from a new site that I discovered – Sense online (the lipstick that is). The soap is a little bit of a random buy – I picked it up while I was at the chemist/pharmacy the other day. I’ve realised that I’m really into soaps lol they just make me feel sooo clean and fresh! The formulas these days are much less drying and this one intrigued me in particular as it contains pawpaw extract. Pawpaw ointment is very popular now (especially in Australia) and is used for a variety of different things (as a lip balm, dry skin ointment, on insect bites etc) but I’ve never seen it in a soap before! I think I bought it for around $4 Aus gold coins.
Well that’s all from me folks, let me know if anything in particular takes your fancy or if you would like more info about a certain product 🙂 I should be doing another new goodies post soon because I ordered quite a few goodies from Sephora (a friend is sending them to me as we don’t have Sephora in Australia, how nice is that, bless her!). I know I said I wouldn’t be buying as much this year, so I am trying to think through each purchase and make sure that I will actually use the products that I buy. Quite a few of the products coming are just replacements of stuff I always use, so stay tuned for that! 🙂
Catch ya soon beauty bees!
