Nails of the Day: Coral Reef

My gorgeous coral nails are thanks to Avon’s Nail Pro polish in Coral Reef. I’m going away for the weekend tomorrow (for 4 days – so I suppose that’s a little longer than the weekend!) and I’m so excited! I haven’t been away for agggges, so even a mini holiday is very much anticipated. I’m going up the coast to a little beach bungalow, so I will keep you posted about my trip 🙂 I think coral nails will most definitely get me in the mood for summer and the beach! What do you think? 🙂

My favourite more affordable nail polishes are from Avon and Sally Hansen. Using a good base coat and top coat means that the polish should last and not chip for at least 5-7 days. Hopefully that means no need for fixing up the polish while I am away! No one wants to have to take nail polish remover, nail polish, top coat etc and then spend heaps of time fixing up nails when you could be out having fun on holidays. I’m not to worried though 😉 The formula is so smooth and not streaky at all, which is very important to me. It dries surprisingly quickly and adding Sally Hansen’s Mega Shine top coat means my nails were dry to the touch in 5 minutes flat. Not bad huh? 🙂 I’m always careful with what I do for the hour or two after painting my nails – I think I get slightly paranoid as I HATE putting in all the effort to paint my nails and then getting a huge smudge :/ Somehow whenever I paint my nails, I need to go to the bathroom afterwards – does anyone else get that?! Oh the troubles girls will go to 😛

While spring is over red rover, a few rose bushes in our garden have been blooming beautifully 🙂 Here are some snapshots that I took in the garden today.
