I’m back with a new favourites post beauties! Here are some new beauty finds of the month but also some tried and tested staples which I love 🙂

Sally Hansen Miracle Cure – A nail strengthener, which replaced my Dr Lewinns Revitanail nail strengthener. My Revitanail became oddly yellow, staining my nails yellow also (not a good look). I like the Sally Hansen formula. It’s not to thick and gluggy, but seals in your nails nicely. If your nails peel and chip, this is a good nail strengthener for you. It is best to paint your nails with this strengthener every two or so days, as the polish does wear down eventually, leaving your nail tips exposed (which is where I experience the most peeling). After the first week, I start to paint my nails with coloured nail polish again and the strengthener also works pretty well as base coat. Sally Hansen does recommend that you use a base coat on top of nail strengthener. It also doesn’t leave your nails tinted yellow 😉 Nails are left shiny and polished. Perfect!

Nivea Double Effect Anti-Perspirant -It’s called ‘double effect’ because it stops sweat but also conditions using avocado extract. I generally use a cream deodorant after showering at night, but sometimes during the day it’s nice to freshen up using a spray deodorant.  I like this one because it feels ‘powdery’ and fresh, without leaving my underarms feeling wet (the Silk Touch version which uses Kaolin Clay on the other hand – would sometimes spray out ‘liquid’ which did not feel refreshing lol). It’s not so powdery that it goes everywhere. I also like that the deodorant isn’t overly fragranced. I’ve noticed some deodorants are seriously scented, but this one is light enough that is fades fairly quickly. I bought mine from the supermarket. Simple but good!

L’Occitane Immortelle Oil Makeup Remover – This oil is GENIUS! I used to use pure grapeseed oil sometimes, as per Dr Lancer’s method, but it wasn’t very good at removing mascara and despite being a light oil, it’s still not the easiest to remove (it takes some time). The Immortelle Oil removes 90% of my mascara which I think is pretty damn good. It just melts away all other makeup without a problem and quickly. I massage the oil into dry skin and then when I go to rinse off the oil, it turns slightly milky, washing off like a breeze. My skin is left feeling comfortable and not oily. You also don’t need a huge amount of oil. I use about one to two pumps per use (two pumps if Im wearing seriously a lot of makeup). It’s brilliant and you must try it!

Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser – This gel cleanser is great. It doesn’t foam up to much, but it’s concentrated and leaves skin feeling clean (without being stripped). It contains New Zealand kiwi fruit and hibiscus extract, which lightly exfoliates skin. It also contains manuka honey, which is antibacterial and vinanza grapes, for some anti-oxidant powers. It’s marketed for oily skins, but I love using it in the evenings after my Immortelle Oil Makeup Remover (I have combination to normal skin). It get’s rid of any left over makeup, dirt or smog. Apparently it’s supposed to smell like green apple, but I don’t think this is the case at all lol. If you’ve ever drunk goji juice before – then this is what this cleanser smells like! It’s not to herbal like or ‘pungent’ for a product based on natural and organic ingredients. It now comes with a flip top, which makes it easier to use than before (before you had unscrew the lid and then put it back on after use – so it would be easy to drop and lose when your hands are wet). It’s not the cheapest, but as I mentioned, it’s concentrated and lasts a good two months or more for me.

M Brush by Maxineczka – This is a brush range, designed by a Polish makeup artist, which has become very well known on Youtube. The brushes are handmade in Japan, using the best quality goat hair (but are cruelty free). The finishing touches on the handles are 24 carat gold and the brushes are super soft. Blending is a dream and feels effortless. Im so impressed with these brushes. They aren’t cheap despite being sold in zloty (the currency in Poland) but if you buy the seven brushes, it works out to be about $30 per brush. They are cheaper than MAC brushes, but every brush is exceptional quality (unlike MAC, which it hit and miss for me). What I love (after the brushes being super soft) is that each brush is multi-functional. The ‘face brushes’ for example, can be used for powder, blush, bronzer, contouring  interchangeably- whatever suits your fancy, because of the shapes and design of the brushes.  Below is a photo of the four ‘face’ brushes, because the three eye brushes are dirty atm 😛 You can see a photo of the whole set on my Instagram though!
