Dior Hydra Life Pro-Youth Comfort Creme
Hi Beauty Bees!
I started using Dior’s moisturisers from their Hydra Life range about a year or two ago and now I don’t think I can stop! I know the price is a little scary at first, but they last so long (one jar lasts me a whole season, so 3-5 months depending how much you use it) that I think they end up being really economical (who thought I would ever use that word, ha!). They have quite a choice of moisturisers to choose from, so there really is something for everybody. It’s really nice that they have a whole selection of moisturisers to choose from (not just 2 or 3 but up to 6 if not more!).
This winter I tried their Pro-Youth Comfort Creme (50ml) as my skin tends to get quite dry in winter. This never used to be the case when I was a teen, but your skin changes based on the climate your in, your hormones, how stressed you are and a whole host of other factors. The moisturisers from the Hydra Life range have one main goal: hydration. After cleansing, the best thing you can do for your skin is provide it with hydration! The Pro-Youth Comfort Creme is targeted for normal to dry skins. I wanted a richer moisturiser, without suddenly overloading my skin with some heavy paste/moisturiser. I’ve been using it every morning for the last couple of months, and it’s perfect. It has a really nice floral but fresh smell, which isn’t overpowering at all. I don’t have to worry about finding or hiding any flaky skin around nose etc. and it works perfectly under makeup. You don’t need a lot of this cream as it spreads really nicely – so a little goes a long way.Oh, and it doesn’t break me out in the slightest (winning!). So it really is a perfect hydrator 🙂
This is what Dior say about their product –
“A rich-textured, skin comforting face moisturizer. Contains a trio of pure plant extracts: jisten, centella & black rose. Delivers intense moisture to skin’s surface while promoting water circulation between skin layers. Targets & prevents the first signs of ageing. Unveils a suppler, sleeker, plumper, brighter & younger looking complexion. Ideal for normal to dry skin. Free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs & triclosan.”

I always prefer to put sunscreen on separately, so it doesn’t bother me that it doesn’t have an spf in it (though I think one or two moisturisers from their range do contain an spf). I can see it being a touch to heavy for summer days (it doesn’t feel heavy at all, but can leave you slightly shiny if your not wearing any makeup and its a hot day). I probably have a couple more weeks worth of product left, so either I’ll use it for just a little while longer, or I will keep it to use after a day at the beach/pools when I feel like I could use some more hydration. For the summer months I plan to buy the Hydra Life Pro-Youth Sorbet Creme (for combination to normal skin). The sorbet version of the moisturiser was the first product I tried from the range and I love it. Perfect consistency for summer days!
I wish I could always buy this product from the states but if I can’t, then I buy it from Fresh Fragrances & Cosmetics. You can check out the full range of moisturisers from the Hydra Life Range on their site here. Or, you can of course buy them from a department store (not sure how much the retail for in Aus – probably worth checking for a comparison).
What’s your current moisturiser? Any recommendations? 🙂
