    Testing Waterproof Mascaras

I’ve been on a hunt to find a truly waterproof mascara for my upcoming holiday to the tropics. I thought this would be an easier task than it turned out to be. Over the last few weeks, I’ve bought three different waterproof mascaras, ranging from the ‘drugstore’ variety, to the mid-range and finally, the luxe variety. To me a waterproof mascara shouldn’t only stay on should you decide to go swimming or have a cry – it should also be smudge-proof. The summer in Australia is qu

Review: L’Oreal’s Mega Volume Collagen Miss Manga Mascara in Tropical Violet

When I saw L’Oreal’s new Miss Manga mascara, my heart skipped a beat to be honest lol 15 year old Beauty Bee was obsessed Japanese Manga, in particular Sailor Moon. When I say obsessed, I mean obsessed. I still enjoy anime and I thought it would be fun to try the mascara, since I don’t usually stray away from my Dior Diorshow mascara. When I popped by Priceline (a drugstore here in Aus) I saw that there were some coloured Miss Manga mascaras – Tropical Violet, Electric Blue a

Review: Max Factor Excess Volume Extreme Impact Mascara

I find it interesting that Max Factor’s newest mascara has such a long and descriptive name. I think they really want to make an impact (pardon the pun :P). But the name isn’t why I wanted to try this mascara! What intrigued me was that the mascara was double ended and one of those ends contains a lacquer. Not many brands do mascara lacquers (the only brand that comes into mind is Hourglass), which usually go on after your regular mascara application to add even more darkness

Review: Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express Waterproof & Some Beach Inspiration

Before I begin, why did Maybelline decide to leave off the e in volume? I just noticed that so I had to mention it because it strikes me as very odd slash stupid. Anyways, a waterproof mascara is a must in summer or if you live in a very humid and hot climate. Good waterproof mascaras are hard to find. I picked this one up at the chemist (pharmacy) just randomly before going on my weekend getaway and wasn’t expecting much – except that it was to stay put at the beach. The las

Review: Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara & Goddess Pencil in Teal Malachite

I was a very lucky beauty bee again! 😀 I won a little (but awesome) prize pack from the wonderful beauty bees of Eye of Horus. You might have realised by now that I love supporting smaller companies that rely on word of mouth and great reviews over million dollar marketing campaigns. And even more so if they are an Australian brand! Eye of Horus is exactly one of those brands, specialising in eye makeup products. Thanks to a competition on Facebook (like me on Facebook here

Review: Weirdest Mascara Wand Ever. Lancome Hypnôse Mascara.

I have quite long lashes already, so I generally stick to volumising mascaras (and I always use a lash primer – can’t hurt!) and the weird thing is that I’ve bought this mascara before and I didn’t think it was too bad, in fact, I thought it was quite good. Now the brush was always tricky, didn’t quite understand the concept, but the formulation was good. Lengthened, but also volumised. Easy! Well not so much. See the brush is curved and I always use it with the curve pointin
