Review: Tatcha’s Kyoto Red Silk Lipstick

I’ve been meaning to get this post out to you beauties a few days ago, but trying to get used to my new schedule and second job is seriously tiring! But here it is! Tatcha makes some amazing skincare – every product feels and looks like it’s been handmade by an artisan from the Edo period 😛 They’ve started moving into the realm of makeup (lipsticks specifically) and they are just as amazing as their skincare products. I often feel like a lot of ‘luxe’ cosmetic brands, don’t

Review: Nudus Lip Euphoria in Revenge

I had my eye on this range of lipsticks for a while, because let’s face it, I’m ‘some what’ fickle and I loved the packaging as soon as I saw it 🙂 The white sleek lipstick casings and the sketch of a woman give the product an artisan feel. I also think they look quite sophisticated. Luckily, one fine day, I was gifted one of these special Nudus lipsticks. I love little niche artisan brands and while these lipsticks are hand crafted in Sydney, in small batches, the look and f

Glorious Coral & Orange-Red Lip Products

Great style is about being fearless! That my beauties, is a beauty and style motto to live by! When the weather starts to warm up, it’s about bringing fun, light and colour to your gorgeous face. There’s something tropical about corals and orange-reds, maybe because these are colours associated with the sun, flustered cheeks, burnt earth, sand and fruits? The contrast and pop of colour they provide on a backdrop of bronzed or highlighted skin is gorgeous <3 Bronzed/illuminate

Review: Lipstick Queen’s Liptropolis Lipstick Library

I bought this awesome trio of lipsticks along with my Jungle Queen lipstick a little while ago, and I am now ready to review it for you lovelies 🙂 Becoming reacquainted  with the world of Lipstick Queen means a lot of choice and so I had to make my decisions carefully 😉 I bought this trio set because a) the packaging is awesome and it caught my attention straightaway – there’s something Gotham City like about it, and b) the word ‘Liptropolis’ reminded me of Janelle Monae wh

Review: Lipstick Queen’s Jungle Queen Lipstick

Lipstick Queen was founded by Australian lipstick entrepreneur – Poppy King. Even though she is now based in New York, I actually remember her lip products being available in Myer, in the 90s when I was a kid (you may also remember that Myer was known as Grace Bros. in NSW back in the day!). My sister is older than me by 6 years, so I used to follow her into the beauty section of this department store and be amazed at the selection of lip glosses available loI! remember my si

    MAC’s Lady D.

So my very orange adventure continues with the discovery (albeit a little late 😉 ) of MAC’s famous lipstick Lady Danger. I would have never dreamed of wearing this shade a few months ago. But now, I’m just doing whatever the hell I want lol You can definitely wear any colour you want, its just about finding the right tone! The paler the shade, the more cautious I am that it will wash me out. It’s a double edged sword though, because I have quite neutral undertones and yet ve

Review: Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in PK 365

I don’t own a lot of mid-toned Pink lipsticks, so I thought I would buy myself something online. I also don’t have any Shu Uemura makeup – it’s not a makeup brand widely available in Australia, which is a bit of a shame.. Buying online can be tricky – it is easier now thanks to makeup blogs and swatches, so I was initially eyeing the Shu Uemura lipstick in MPK 355 because I saw it on Karima’s blog (Shameless Fripperies) and thought ‘ooooooo’ 🙂 It had a slight sheen – so wasn

    Inspiration: POW POW!

This image is my wallpaper at the moment. Isn’t it gorgeous??? For some reason it makes me think of some Jewel lyrics from her song Intuition – “I’m just a simple girl, in a high-tech digital world.” It also reminds me of superheroes… A kick-ass pink would knock anyone off their feet, POW POW!
