A Summer Must Have: Le Tan Cool It! Hydra-Infusion After Sun Replenishing Face Mask 🏖☀️🌊🍉

Happy New Year Beauties! I took a bit of a break from the blog and ‘life’ over the Christmas and New Years period. It’s taking me a little longer than expected to get back ‘into the swing of things’, but I’m certainly looking ahead to a more considered 2020 and that includes all my beauty related purchases. I want to use up all the products just sitting in my stash, with the goal of saving money but also being less wasteful. I will do a skincare routine post sometime soon (I

    Review: LIXIR Universal Emulsion 💥💦

I love a good moisturiser! And boy, do I LOVE this one! I bought it on a whim last year before a holiday to Europe because it’s packaged in a light plastic tube rather than a jar. It was a bit risky I admit, buying a new skincare product before a holiday, not knowing if it will work well with my skin… but that’s who I am – a reckless, risk taker LOL 😂 😝 I just had a good feeling about it, you know?! And I wasn’t wrong which is the best part! This cream is everything that I

Gels, Gels, Gels! Why Gel Textures in Skincare Mean Good News for Your Skin!

When I think of gels in skincare, I think of those gel eye creams back in the day, that were supposed to combat puffiness but would dry down on the skin, going all crusty and dry lol Gels have come SUCH a long way however, because they not only cool the skin, feel feather light, help your makeup last longer (because they don’t contain slippery lipids) and can moisturise skin on a deeper level thanks to effective delivery systems. If you look in your beauty cabinet, you might

Beauty Classics: Nivea Creme (and some surprising tricks/uses for this gem!)

Everybody knows and probably has owned one tub/tin of this creme in their lifetime. To me it’s synonymous with Europe and my mum 🙂 The creme reminds me of my childhood as it was a staple in our home. My mum used to use it back in Poland when she was young and there were a million different and surprising uses for the cream – one of which is mentioned below. So where did it all begin seeing as the cream (and the brand Nivea) is older than any of us? 😛 Nivea comes from the la

    Review: Hand Creams!

I wanted to show you beauty bees three hand creams which been helping me out a bit during this winter! The newest addition to my collection is Avon’s Clinical Luminosity Hand Cream with SPF 15.  This one really intrigued me because you don’t often find hand creams with spf in them (even though it makes sense to add it in!) and it also happened to be on sale 😛 I bought mine for $15 reduced from $30. Not bad eh? It’s a really good alternative to Clinique’s Even Better Dark Spo

Review: Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector – Serum or Primer?

I received this serum for free when I won a competition – well I think it would be categorised as a serum, but I actually use it as a primer under my makeup. Why? I contains skin smoothing silicones, which fill in any lines or bumps and leaves your skin surface extra smooth ready for an even application of makeup. It also contains mica, so it has a slight light reflecting glow to it (when you look closely at the serum you can see little red/pink reflecting particals in the se
